Vail Villages

Vail Villages are replete with great dining and shopping options, plus sweet playgrounds for the groms, ice rinks in winter, and they are each located just a few steps to each of Vail Gondolas. A perfect home base for your alpine adventures. Below are a few tips for how to best navigate each village.

Vail's dining scene is as diverse and impressive as its terrain. You will find from a diner for breakfast, great casual spots for lunch, to incredible restaurants for dinner right outside your door.

Shopping

A buffet of retail therapy awaits in Lionshead! Global brands like Burton, Smartwool, Arc'teryx and more mix with Vail boutiques and fun spots for kids like the independently owned Rocket Fizz soda pop & candy shop.

Activities

Vail Square, in the center of Lionshead, features an ice rink in the winter. In summer, the space is used for concerts and small events.

Adjacent to Vail Square, Sunbird Park was named one of the world's coolest playgrounds by Travel & Leisure. Something akin to giant bird's nests, the playground is a perfect spot to get the wiggles out and includes an interactive water feature in summer.
